Apple Tops PC Customer Service Rankings – New York Times- About: Article Marketing

Forrester Research?s 2008 customer experience index , a survey of some 4,500 consumers, ranked the PC makers slightly above companies in those other industries but below such perennial headaches as the wireless companies, airlines and credit card issuers. When an Apple can garner 10% of the world PC share without a Windows operating system on their machines why can’t the big boys of the PC world- HP, Dell , etc… come up with their own OS that is more stable and lot simpler and more intutive than Windows, at least for the consumer market? This blog entry makes me think of the newest PC ads on TV, where Windows laptops are compared to Macs, and people choose the PC and have it bought for them. Some software is available for PCs but not Macs (mainly games in which I have no interest), other software comes in better versions for the PC than for the Mac (for example, Quicken), and in general Macs cost a little more, though if you compare apples to apples (pardon the wording) the price difference is not all that much. read more
