Interval Licensing, a firm owned by Paul Allen, Microsoft co-founder, has filed a lawsuit against a host of top e-business farms, including Aol, Apple, eBay, Facebook, Google, Netflix, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples, Yahoo and YouTube. District Court of the Western District of Washington, according to reports. The lawsuit claims that the companies have violated the patent terms related to search, multimedia, screen pop-ups and database management. These patents belonged to Interval Research, the company founded by Allen and David Liddle in 1992, which has now been acquired by Interval Licensing.
