PGCC Gets $87000 Grant For Data Security Program – Washington Post- About: E-Business

The Maryland Higher Education Commission has awarded Prince George’s Community College $87,000 through a Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Higher Education Fund grant to help finance the college’s information security and assurance program. Students in the program prepare for careers in national security and the protection of private information, such as medical records, credit card history and banking information. The college expects to expand the program to include an information security and management certificate program and courses. The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce has applications available for its 2009-10 Youth Leadership Bowie program. Participants must be entering their sophomore or junior year in high school in September, be residents of Bowie or attend Bowie High School. Students interested in the program must illustrate a record of community activity or a desire to become involved in the Bowie community. read more
